What is the difference between Facial Cleanser and Facial Scrub?

Do you use both (like shampoo and conditioner) or just which ever you want?What is the difference between Facial Cleanser and Facial Scrub?
a cleanser just cleans the dirt and makeup away, scrub gets the dead skin off and gets down into the pores more.

A scrub exfoliates (gets rid of surface dead skin cells) while a cleanser just cleanses. Yes you can use both, but a scrub should be used (at the most) a few times a week.
