I mean, the difference in their usage, effectiveness, and so on. Yesterday I went to Guardian. It was my first time buying facial products. The salesgirl told me that I should be using facial scrub since I am a first time user. But I mistakenly bought the facial foam. This morning I tried the facial foam eventhough the salesgirl told me that first timers should use facial scrub. Should I worry? Or, should I follow her advice? I am totally lost in this area, please guide me.What is the difference between facial foam and facial scrub?
It is important to only exfoliate skin twice a week, unless it is a daily exfoliator. Be gentle with the skin, do not press down hard, lightly stroke it across the face. Use a gentle exfoliation with smaller grains to prevent irritation, never exfoliate straight after shaving, however it is benefical to exfoliate the beard to prevent in-grown hairs and it also lifts the beards up, providing a closer shave.
When used in the theatre, film or television industry, a facial prosthesis alters a person's normal face into something extraordinary. Facial prosthetics can be made from a wide range of materials - including latex, foam latex, silicone, and cold foam. Effects can be as subtle as altering the curve of a cheek or nose, or making someone appear older or younger than they are. A facial prosthesis can also transform an actor into a sci-fi creature, an anthropomorphic animal, mythological beast and more. What is the difference between facial foam and facial scrub?
don't worry, you are fine. unless shes a cometologist then I wouldn't play too much into her advice. I've never heard of ';guardian'; is it a drug store or a skin and bath shop? Facial scrub is an exfoliant(a mild abrassive for your skin), its just more effective and shouldn't be used all the time anyway. it buffs away dead skin cells and helps with acne. A facial foam is a foamy soap thats good for daily use. just keep using the foam and pick up the scrub later. I only use the scrub a couple times a week or when I have a bad outbreak
Facial Foam is usually a moisturizer and something people with sensitive skin should use.
Facial Scrub is mainly used to rub away dead skin cells.
but they basically give you the same benefits.
since you've bought a facial foam, i reckon you should know what it is by now. but for a facial scrub, there would be alot of tiny and hard bits mixed inside to provide exfoliating purposes, meaning to scrub off dead skin cells and stuff. for a facial foam, it only serves to clean off impurities, dirt, and sebum. for me, i would use a facial foam/facial bar soap daily and only limit scrub usage to at most 2 to 3 times a week.
if your lloking to ex foliate your skin then use the scrub, I would assume that the foam is a non evasive product. Just remember when using the scrub make small circular motion applied with gentle pressure...
scrub actually has sand or scrubbing beads it is suppose to make skin really smooth.tho its good for a ounce a week face mask but using it everyday actually can irratate and make acne worse
i don't think there is any difference between the two. maybe she was just trying to sell you the more expensive one....
Facial foam is the same as a foaming facial wash. It's just like soap for the face -- it cleanses away dirt and oils. Facial scrubs exfoliate (They remove dead skin cells that dull the complexion revealing the smoother new skin underneath. They also unclog pores) because they contain tiny grains of abrasive. I recommend buying one of each. Use facial foams/cleansers every day, and the facial scrub about once a week.
foam opens the pores and cleans
scrub sloughs (scrubs) away the dead skin, exposing fresh healthy skin and is usually the first step in a thorough face cleaning process
Like they were saying, a scrub exfoliates and should only be used on the face once a week or so to slough away older layers of skin flakes.
Your facial foam has no exfoliating properties to it -- it just suds up and cleans your face. You can turn your foam into a scrub by putting the foam in your hand, putting a couple pinches of baking soda in the foam, mixing them around, and gently washing your face. Its cheap and works wonders for me. Don't spend unnecessary $$$ on something that is more expensive because it claims it cleanses AND exfoliates -- make your own!!
They are totally different. The scrub has scratchy things in it to remove bumps from your skin and the foam is all soft and smooth and should be used after you used the scrub for a while.
