thanxxWho does the baking soda facial scrub? il'd like to know if...?
if you have dry and sensitive skin stay away it can make it worse.Who does the baking soda facial scrub? il'd like to know if...?
I don't do a baking soda scrub, but I've made brown sugar and milk scrubs, and those should be done weekly, or every two weeks. You could also try a honey and sugar scrub. They work nicely. With the brown sugar scrub, you just take a few tablespoons and mix in the milk until it's a paste. With the honey scrub, just mix sugar into honey until it's thick, or until it's as 'scrubby' as you like.
I use a baking soda mask instead of a scrub once a week (mix baking soda with water until makes a paste and then smear on face. Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse off) Since scrubbing it seems to make my skin really itchy. Good Luck!
Rolled oats and honey is a better facial scrub. Baking soda is salt and will dry out your skin. I would not advise using this every day.
Baking soda is good to bubble out the all the bad stuff but if you're looking to scrub something away...use sugar with some kind of acne scrub lotion.
i tried it before it made my face red and very dry

i dont recommend it at all...

Facial Cleanser, Scrub and Mask; What are the differences ?

facial cleanser, remove the dirt on the face

Scrub,remove dead skin

Mask, different kinds, some are tightening mask you can feel that it will tighten your skin, moisturing, makes your face soft and young, whitening makes your face white.Facial Cleanser, Scrub and Mask; What are the differences ?
facial cleanser: Cleans excess dirt and oil off your face

scrub: a facial cleanser that also gets dead skin off your face

mask: a facial cleanser that you leave on longer so that it can get deep in your pores.Facial Cleanser, Scrub and Mask; What are the differences ?
Money..You only need to wash and use a moisturizer..
Facial cleanser cleanses the surface, scrub cleanses and removes some of the surface skin (dead skin) and mask reaches in and lifts out impurities beneath the surface. (Pores)

Difference between FOAM CLEANSER & FACIAL SCRUB?

I would like 2 know if there is a difference and what is it, i have both products from neutrogena and dont wanna use both if they are the same thing.Difference between FOAM CLEANSER %26amp; FACIAL SCRUB?
I use this it's pretty good:http://www.neutrogenawave.com/

and I also been using this which is also pretty good:http://ambiskincare.com/productDetailsAc鈥?/a>

foam cleaner is like this I never used this one b4:http://ambiskincare.com/productDetailsAc鈥?/a>Difference between FOAM CLEANSER %26amp; FACIAL SCRUB?
A scrub has microbeads in it to exfoliate the skin, and foam is well.. a substance that turns foamy as you wash your face. As for them being the ';same thing'; no because one is beady and one is foamy, but if you mean they ';do the same thing'; then it depends on what you bought. If they're both for oily skin then yeah they are the same just a different way to treat it.
they serve different functions:

cleanser - to clean the face by removing oil/dirt/sweat. use everyday, whenever u need to clean your face.

scrub - to exfoilate the face by removing dead skin, small black heads, 'bumps' on the surface of the skin. this will make your face smoother and clearer, which cannot be achieved by the cleanser. used once a week.
A scrub usually contains exfoliate. I would use that once/twice a week. Use the cleanser daily.

  • Clean and clear oxygenating facial scrub?

is it good? also, am i supposed to bub it between my hands until it lathers, or put it on my face straight from the bottle thingy? wow, i'm so clueless. well, in my defense, it doesn't say. thanks.Clean and clear oxygenating facial scrub?
I have it and I like it. What you are suppossed to do with it is dispense about a quarter-sized amount in one palm, then use your fingertips to smooth the cleanser on your face. Then as you rub it in to your face, it will foam up. Once it is all foamy, it gets the dirt/make-up/oil off your face. Then just rinse all the foaminess off.Clean and clear oxygenating facial scrub?
yea just rub it on your clean hands till it lathers and smooth it on to your face %26amp; massage for about aminute or so..i never used it..let me know if it works...good luck*
it depends on your face, all faces have a exact amount of oil on it that it needs to protect it and if you have to much then that is what can case a break out but if you don鈥檛 have enough that can case it to. You have to play around with deferent kinds of face wash to see which one works for your face. That鈥檚 why there are some many of then; they don't all work on the same face. I hope you find the one you are looking for.

    try this wed site
OMG that stuff is a rip-off, i tried it because it looked like it would really work, but i felt nothing, no bubbling or whatever they claim it to do. Try anything Noxzema, i swear by that stuff. Clean and Clear just dries out your skin, and oily skin that is not recieving ANY moisture will just relapse and produce more oil to compensate.

What are the best facial scrubs that have a rough feeling to it?

I can't really use gentle facial srubs because, for some reason, they don't ever feel like they're working. I always get good results with rougher facial scrubs but I have a hard time finding the one I like so do you all know where I can find a more scrubbier (if that's even a word) facial scrub??What are the best facial scrubs that have a rough feeling to it?
    um mm

well if you want to exfoliate then i would use the

    St.Ives Apricot scrub.

    i love it!!!!

    exfoliates and cleanses.

    if your interested:

u can purchase it about everywhere.

    Walgreen's has it definitely!!

    only about 4 bucks!

i love itt! What are the best facial scrubs that have a rough feeling to it?
once a week i using 1/4 cup milk and brown sugar. the more brown sugar you put in, the coarser the texture. it seems to work for me.:)
Try using any facial wash, ones with the beads are great too, and scrub with a washcloth. Works just the same as any exfoliate.

I would also suggest st.ives as well, and if you have acne they have a medicated formula.

What is the difference between face scrub and facial polish?

both are totally differentWhat is the difference between face scrub and facial polish?
Typically, it's the size of the granules. Scrubs tend to have larger particles but a polish is finely milled. What is the difference between face scrub and facial polish?
I don't believe there is one because facial polishes can be in the form of a scrub.
FACE SCRUB is more strong. One time week.

FACIAL POLISH is more soft. For sensitive skin. You can to use frecuently.

    Brown sugar good facial scrub?

is using brown sugar with colloidal oatmeal a good facial scrub?....if the brown sugar really gentle too, even for acne?....will the brown sugar irritate the pimples or is it gentle enough?...so i brown sugar a good really gentle facial scrub?Brown sugar good facial scrub?
do not scrub.you will only promote the glands to produce more oil.

never scrub ,pat dry.keep your own Towel for your face-do not share it.

keep hair awys from face specially at night.and wash it with an anti dandruff shampoo.let it work on hair for 15 minutes on wet hair -please do not waist water and do so out of thr shower.Brown sugar good facial scrub?
I have used it, but the sugar dissolves rapidly with the water, so it is very gentle, just make sure it is very moist. As to acne, I'm not sure it is a good idea, I think may be if you did the oat meal alone it'd be safer.

Also try blending a piece of cucumber, a leaf of aloe vera and couple of meant leaves, this is very gentle as an exfoliant or you can try

For a gentle sensitive skin exfoliator, mix 1/2 cup cornmeal, 1/4 cup milk, two teaspoons baking soda, one tablespoon olive oil and five drops of tea-tree oil in a bowl, then apply to your skin.
i would advise against using brown sugar. honey and some orange or lemon mixed into the collidal oatmeal would be great. honey is a natural anti-biotic so will work great on pimples. dont scrub too hard. steam your face before to open your pores up to really get a good deep clean.

what works best for acne is diet: cutting sugar from your diet (no more white bread, white pasta, sweets and sodas!), plenty of water to flush toxins away. the main reason american teenagers have such problems with acne is due to diet: macdonalds, pizza, soda, chocolate.

dont touch your face too much. its tempting to pick but you'll just get bacteria all over your face. think of all the nasty crap your hands touch on a daily basis. just watch people sneeze and cough on their hands and then touch things. thats what your rubbing into your acne whenever you pick at it.
No i don't think so.Try something like Guardian Silver Supplements for guaranteed results.
    not really.

What is a great website to compare facial scrubs and body scrubs?

    http://www.aigg.blogspot.com

Which is better as a facial scrub, iodized salt or sugar???

    Neither.

Kosher salt and/or sugar is fine as a BODY scrub, but both are way too harsh for facial skin.

If you need a homemade facial scrub, try cornstarch and milk. Mix until its the consistancy of batter, massage your face, then rinse.

The ultra fine grains of the cornstarch act as an exfoliant and the lactic acid in milk is an exfoliant, as well.Which is better as a facial scrub, iodized salt or sugar???
facial scrub but depens what type of skin do you haveWhich is better as a facial scrub, iodized salt or sugar???
i think salt or else bees will attack you. Even if there not out yet. Salt cleans your pores better. It kills bacteria better.
I'd say salt. Dont you ever notice when you go to the ocean how clear and smooth your skin tends to get?
a home mixer of oat meal and honey for me!!.. works great!!
seems like the salt wouldbe a more natural thing.

I.ve never heard of using sugar
Sugar, definitely. Sugar absorbs oil much better, and salt will dry your skin out and sting unless you have special facial oils.
I would really go with sugar, salt won't be great for your skin. I would also suggest lemons+yogurt is not bad either.
    A sugar paste,

    ';water/ sugar';
I think a facial scrub is a lot better than salt or sugar!!! so i would get a Facial scrub
Woooa.. definitely sugar! Salt will dry out and sting like crazy. Never use salt on your face!

  • How to use apricot FACIAL SCRUB...?

Can i use it regularly.....thanxHow to use apricot FACIAL SCRUB...?
Exfoliating also has its side effects-too much and harsh use can really really spoil your skin. If you want to do it on a daily basis, use a mild one like St.Ives after cleaning your skin.

The frequency of using a scrub depends on age and type of skin-teenage and oily with lotsa pimples can use once or twice a week-dry or aging skin- mild one everyday.

Apricot is very good for skin and is used in skin polishes. But always remember to clean your face first, exfolite and then moisturise.

Best done before sleep as it helps skin to breathe and the skin repair process is max during sleep.

Do this and you will have beautiful skin-alwayz.How to use apricot FACIAL SCRUB...?
you can use it daily, i would say only once, and i suggest using it in the shower because the little beads are used in the scrub are hard wash out with the sink. Just close your eyes tight and scrub really really hard and wash with steaming warm water.
I wouldnt suggest everyday usage of it since its a scrub and that would be too harsh for the delicate skin of your face.

scrubs are great because they slough away dead skin cells which cause your skin to look dull and give you an uneven skin texture. I use st. ives apricot scrub blackhead and blemish to get even more out of it, its a scrub and its also got 2% salicylic acid which is one of the main things that dermatologists suggest to clear/prevent acne blemishes!

i know that the st ives scrubs are too coarse to use daily because the apricot shells arent ground up very fine.. so id use it every 2-3 days. They have like 6 different apricot scrubs in their line including a sensitive skin formula!

    hope this helped!
i use it everyday to clean my face after i take my make up off.

i have st. ives, so its gentle enough for my face, and it scrubs the dead skin off gently. it also gets rid of any excess oils left from my make up and the baby oil i use to take it off.

i just wet my face, put a small amount in my hand, and use the other hand to apply it to my face. i scrub with my fingertips in circular motions. then rinse and make sure you moisturize your face when you get done if you have dry skin.

but you have to make sure it works for you and your skin. everyone has dif skin types, so what i do may not work for you.

    good luck :)
I use it every other day. Exfoliating too often can be too abrasive for your skin. I swear by that St. Ives stuff. It's cheap and it works. Just work it in circular motions and don't scrub it on your skin.
i would use the scrub like every other day

i would use the apricot cleanser every day that you are not using the scrub.

becuase the scrub has the potential of drying or redness.

also, just use it like you would use any face wash.

    good luck
    Every 2-3 days.
Apricot scrub will exfoliate your skin to remove build up and open clogged pours.
I say use it every other day or twice a week. In my experience, it's always dried out my face (especially my T zone) if I use it every day. But it all depends on your skin type. Just make sure to use moisturizer on your face afterwards. :)

Does St. Ives Apricot Scrub not only work as an exfoliant but as a facial cleanser as well?

I don't mean by using it as a daily cleanser but does it CLEAN your face as well and not just exfoliate?Does St. Ives Apricot Scrub not only work as an exfoliant but as a facial cleanser as well?
yes. i use it daily :)Does St. Ives Apricot Scrub not only work as an exfoliant but as a facial cleanser as well?
Ehh in my opinion a mild face wash won't hurt it just gets the crust off your face, or rough spots another face wash would help with the oil
It's pretty intense to use daily. Maybe once a week.
Yes, of course. It cleans and exfoliates.

I just want to know what are the different between facial foam and facial scrub?do i have to use them both?

I use a facial scrub/exfoliant at night which removes the daily dirt and dead skin cells. I use a facial foam in the morning as it is gentler and will remove any dead skin cells and will leave my skin glowing throughout the day.. There is no need to use both at the same time.I just want to know what are the different between facial foam and facial scrub?do i have to use them both?
Foam is a cleanser that cleans the makeup and dirt from your face. Scrub is an exfoliant and removes dead skin cells that accumulate. Use the foam everyday to clean after makeup and exercise. The scrub should be used three days a week. Try a gentle scrub like St.Ives gentle apricot scrub. Don't forget to moisturize too. :)

Is it ok to use oatmeal, milk & brown sugar for a facial/body scrub?

    yes there all natural.

here are some othere facial body scrub you may want to use:

1.Take one cup of brown sugar and place it in a medium mixing bowl.

2.Add one cup of white sugar and mix together.

3.Slowly add sweet almond oil to the sugar until it starts to look like a thick paste.

4.Add a few drops of orange essential oil, fragrance oil, or soap fragrance until it smells just right.

Do Burt's Bees facial scrub help blackheads?

i cant find a good scrub and my friend said burt's bees is good. my main prob is blackheads. does it help?Do Burt's Bees facial scrub help blackheads?
i use the clean and clear morning burst scrub and it works good on my black heads. also putting tape on your nose and tearing it off helps soooo much. it doesnt hurt and gets all the dead skin off letting your pores breathe and clean out. so try the tape deal, then wash with any scrub you want using warm water. then once you rinse off all the scrub, splash cold cold water on your skin. it closes/ well actually just shrinks your pores leaving you less prone to blackheads. after about 3 days you will notice seriously amaing results. i did :) hope that helpedDo Burt's Bees facial scrub help blackheads?
i have a ton of blackheads too! i asked my dermatologist about a scrub and he said that facial scrubs irritate the skin and can actually cause clogged pores. i use Cetaphil facial wash and pore strips to get them out or to help with the dirt on my face. try a mild face wash first to get the dirt off and if that doesn't help after awhile, I'd say the pore strips. JUST DON'T GIVE UP!!
i wouldn't think so, because burts bees is like all natural, i would think you would need something kind of strong to get rid of blackheads, try the biore strips and a face cleanser that is mainly to get rid of blackheads. try neutrogena or clean %26amp; clear for a good face wash. hope this helped!
I would say go with Neutrogena- that has helped me best
    i liked it

I have tried several types of cleansers but the brand that works best for me is Burt's Bees because their products are reasonably priced, 97% natural, gentle, designed for normal to dry skin, and do not strip the face of nutrients. I use the Peach %26amp; Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub once in the morning to exfoliate, and the Soap Bark %26amp; Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream in the afternoon and before bed. Colloidal oatmeal facial scrub?

It really doesn't take much to exfoliate your skin. Most scrubs that are rough actually tear your skin. The really good thing about colloidal oatmeal as an exfoliate is that it can gently removed the dead skin cells, soak up oil, and moisturize all at the same time.

Use it, you'll be surprised by how good it will make your skin look and feel. I use a colloidal oatmeal body wash everyday.Colloidal oatmeal facial scrub?

Is the ';St. Ives Microdermabrasion Scrub'; really microdermabrasion or just a facial cream with crystals inside?

What's the difference between the St. Ives scrub and real microdermabrasion that is performed by a doctor? Is the ';St. Ives Microdermabrasion Scrub'; really microdermabrasion or just a facial cream with crystals inside?
Both treatments over the counter and performed by the doctor's office are very tough on your skin. They aren't like an apricot scrub that just gets off the top layer, it's more harsh with other chemicals. Doctors treatments are honestly something I would never suggest to anyone, you really don't need a peel for your skin that bad unless you have LOTS of scarring or you're one of those 40+ women terrified of a few laugh lines. I would suggest over the counter St. ives stuff, which is probably not as hard on your skin. be sure to moisturize afterwards and then let your skin heal back!!Is the ';St. Ives Microdermabrasion Scrub'; really microdermabrasion or just a facial cream with crystals inside?
JUst with crystals inside only real microdermabrasion can be done at the doctors or facialist
I've used several St. Ives products and none have worked. Real microdermabrasion is a procedure performed by a doctor and has dramatic results. I've seen some at-home kits that I want to try, but all the St. Ives stuff seems to be just thick creams with beads in them, and none have worked [for me].

I've tried both, and I really like both.(: I think this depends on you, and what kind of product your looking for. Most drugstores have a sample size of the St.Ives, so if I were you, I would try the sample out and see if you like it. If you do, buy the larger size. If not, try the Biore. St. Ives runs at around 3 dollars a bottle.

Toners, depending on the one you want, can run anywhere from 2 to 100.

I'd suggest something cheaper, though...Its all the same =xDrugstore facial scrub/wash for big pores?
How about something you don't have to buy?

If you have a blender: Put equal amounts of dry oatmeal, cornmeal and salt (1/2 c each) and blend dry.

In your hand, mix a bit of the powder with a bit of warm water and use as a scrub. Take your time and let it do it's thing. Letting it dry is a good thing. rinse with warm water.

You could also use egg white on your face, let it dry. 30 minuter or longer and wash off with warm/hot water.
this is what you need to do! go to dermatologist and get rx benzyl peroxide face wash (if you can't then really look for a good face wash at Sephora because they have great pore cleaner face wash). then you need a gel called clindamycin to put on at night to help kill bacteria in your pores (you might need an RX for this or google it and buy it online). also, you need to steam your face before washing it with benzyl peroxide like three times a week to really get rid of all the junk in your pores. not only will this make the pores smaller, but you will have clearer looking skin!
Once again I think its the internal scrubbing like yogic easophagic cleaning with soft cotton cloth dipped in milk or warm water that you should worry about than chin or more vehemently nose pores or their black heads.
Neutrogena Pore refining cleanser. Use that along with the toner and it works really well. good luck!!

-after washing your face, put a small amount of it in your palm

it depends if the product promises to brighten complexion, and are more designed for pigmentation.. but u have nothing to worry about with a scrub.. all it does is removes the dead skin cells, and prevents dead skin build up, which causes pimples.. u wont go lighter.. and depends on how harsh the product is, to decide how often you should use it.. u may have a daily exfoliant.. otherwise i suggest u scrub it into ur face and neck for approx 2mins twice a week

How to make a homemade facial scrub?

Wow I have loads of them...

Make a paste from a little oatmeal and water. Apply to face and allow to dry. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

    Brown Sugar and Milk Scrub

Brown sugar will exfoliate your skin as the milk moisturizes it.

    1/4 cup brown sugar

1 - 2 tbsp milk, anything but skim

Mix the two ingredients well. Apply to freshly cleaned face and massage gently for a full minute - leave on for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
you can make a really simple one with sugar, a tablespoon of honey mixed with natural yoghurt, and you can mash up bananna's in it too if you want. leaves your skin really soft =]

Another simpe one is olive oil with sugar or ground up almonds, either works well.
u can use oatmeal on ur face, Its very good for u. Sugar would exfoliate a little bit also.

    here's one

mix 1-3 tblsp of sugar with a pot of natural yoghurt and a drizzle of honey. honey is very good for the skin and has a load of minerals in it like iron, copper, zinc, etc. Yoghurt is beneficial for both hair and skin so is good for your face. The sugr will get rid of dead cells leaving ur skin glowing !
Mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with a squeeze of lemon juice and then add about 2-3 tablespoons of sugar or enough to give it a scrub like consistency.
sugar , honey, and EVOO , plus any essential oils you like ...:-)... p.s. almonds have sharp granules that can tear the skin cells you should use a srub that has sphere like granules like salt , sugar .. hope this helps

Grind up some oatmeal in your blender. Not too smooth or it won't exfoliate well just enough to make the oatmeal easier to mix up and apply. After you grind it up just mix in some warm water (enough to make a paste). You can add a little lemon juice (don't add lemon if you have alot of acne because it will burn. Then just rub it on your face, let it dry. Then rinse off with warm water rubbing your face as you go to help remove it all. Pat face almost dry and generously apply a moisturizer for oily skin. If you mean exfoliation, yes it's useful for the skin since it helps to clear away dead skin cells and makes your face looking healthier. use these home made scrubs for oily skin:

    Carrot face scrub:

    Ingredients:

    One teaspoon of carrot juice.

    One teaspoon of lemon juice.

Take one tablespoon of yeast powder

    One teaspoon of olive oil.

One and half teaspoon of yogurt.

Mix all the ingredients and blend them together. Apply this on face for fifteen minutes.

Then wash it off with lukewarm water. If the skin is very oily then don’t add oil to it and if its dry add more oil to it. Don’t use this on skin having pimples because it causes infection.

    Pea faced scrub:

    Ingredients:

Take four to six tablespoons of pea powder.

    Two tablespoons of rose water.

Take ¼ tablespoon of lemon juice.

Soak the pea powder in rose water and lemon juice for half an hour. Then beat it well. When beaten, apply this face scrub for 15 minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Coming from a family with a sister and my mom, I have had to try a couple of cleansers, but here is what I think:

    1. ';Clean and Clear'; Morning Burst (I used this in the morning to wake me up in the morning. It removes dirt, oil and impurities that accumulates on your skin during the night. It leaves your skin very shiny too!)

    2. ';Spectro Derm'; (Is recommended by Dermatologists if you have sensitive skin)

    3. ';Clean and Clear'; Foaming Facial Cleanser (removes problem-causing bacteria, makeup, dirt and oil with out overdrying your skin.)

    4. ';Exact'; Facial Cleansing Gel (is unscented, removes surface skin bacteria, hypoallergenic and helps control skin blemishes.)

I have used all these products before. I don't have acne or anything, but occasionally I get a pimple. I would recommend the Morning Burst... it's my favorite!

    Hope this helps!

5 drops tincture of benzoin (ask your pharmacy or health food store)

Peel oranges and lemons very thinly, being careful to get as little white pith on the peel as possible. Pack the peel and cloves into a glass jar and cover with hot water. Leave the peel to steep overnight. The next day, strain and filter the liquid, add a few drops tincture of benzoin (as a preservative) and keep in the fridge (label carefully!). The benzoin tincture will turn the lotion milky. Apply 2 or 3 times per day and leave on. I bought clean and clear daily facial scrub. how many times in a day do i use it.?

it doesnt say in the instructions.I bought clean and clear daily facial scrub. how many times in a day do i use it.?
First off, why are you using a harsh scrub? This scrub strips your skin of your natural oils, so if you are dehydrated (which can cause an overproduction of oil so you will think you are oily) you are seriously hurting your skin. You need to get your skin analyzed by a professional and see what type of skin you have so you can have your own personal skin care regimen. You don't only need an exfoliant, but cleanser, toner, and most importantly a moisturizer.I bought clean and clear daily facial scrub. how many times in a day do i use it.?
As with any product, you really shouldn't wash your face more than 2-3 times a day (3 max)-- washing too much (especially with salycillic acid cleansers like clean and clear) can cause your sebacious glands to overcompensate by producing more oil, and therefore worsen your acne or greasiness. You could try using clean and clear once a day and doing the rest of your washing with a more mild product.

For example, I often use Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Wash or Clinique exfoliating scrub before bed, to remove dirt and oil from the day), and then use Cetaphil moisturizing cleanser in the morning (this cleanser is so mild that you can actually just wipe it off your face without washing; it feels like lotion-- but it's totally light and oil-free). This way, i keep my skin feeling clean and fresh but i also prevent over-drying and its counterproductive side effects.

    Good luck!

    Either is fine.
Face wash twice a day, scrub/exfoliate once a week.
Facial scrub can damage the sensitive skin on your face if used too much. Use a good facial wash every day (skinlogics cleansing gel) and a good facial scrub (skin logics facial scrub) only about two times a week.

    hope this helps out! ((:
I use a combination of both, actually. I use a face wash twice a day (morning and night) and prepare a facial scrub once a week. Face wash will remove the impurities from the top layer of the skin, but will not do much as far as the deeper layers of the skin and pores where the problems with acne come from anyway. When you follow up with a facial scrub, the pores will open up and all that dirt and excess oil causing acne will come out. You can also use a facial steam which will enhance cleansing even further (great recipe here: http://www.skin-care-recipes-and-remedie鈥?/a>

hi this is the scentimental skin doctor speaking well I can just advise you that the fact you have acne is a bit of a problem. but first i will explain the difference the difference between scrubs and body butters . sugar scrubs are exfoliating and open the pours of your skin and and clear all dead on the facial surface and the natural oil are most important to the skin

the body butter which is cocobutter based with fresh hand made product and essential oils that moisturize and cleanse the skin

we have customers that us our recommendations on ailments such as having dry skin curyicis scentimental body butter may do the trick and the sugar scrub will help exfoliate the skin and maybe thats just what you need .

scentimental skin doc over and out
facial scrub should only be used once or twice a week because it actually causes your skin to produce MORE oil, which could aggrivate acne if you already have it.. use a good cleanser with salilic (sp?) acid once a day and a good gentle cleanser once a day (one morning and one night washing) for acne prevention
A scrub has tiny, rough particles in it that remove dead skin cells while you wash. You can do the same thing with a cleanser, though, by using a loofah when you wash.
I use St Ives cleansing pads along with St Ives Moisturizer. i never have breakouts...Try it I love it.
If you have acne...buy Proactive. It is the best! Drug store scrubs and cleansers can cause you to break out because it strips the ';good'; oil from your sking. Proactive is gentle and it comes with a gentle scrub cleanser, toner, and preventative cream. My skin feels great after using it and I will be using it always...
i cleanser is better because some facial scrub contain harsh gritty things in them that can tear your skin and cleansers are much more gently on your face.

my facial scrub I apply morning and night, and it works great!
Use Neutrogena Stress Control Scrub or St. Ive's or Clean %26amp; Clear SOFT Scrub that you use in the shower. They're all awesome. Your suppose to use a scrub about 3 times a week. That good enough.
Usually morning and night.. sometimes its only once though

It should say under 'directions' on the container, either 'once daily' or 'twice daily' or something like that.

If not, then apply both morning and night :)

    Mine?? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
It should tell you on the bottle some are daily or twice a day and some are weekly i use mine twice a day
i use the scrub when i get into the shower and use that instead of soap. i like the apricot by st ives. but i only use it once daily. most times i shower more than once a day. so whenever u have time and think about it. i would put it in the shower so u can make it routine unless ur skin is exceedingly oily. good luck
    d
If you are using to exfoliate (slough-off dead skin) you can apply anytime after you have cleansed your face. Usually you want to do it about 3 times a week.
    Morning and Night,

After you wake up, before you sleep.

    Everyday.
if you have dry skin, I suggest you apply it once every two weeks only.

acne prone skins on the other hand are not advisable to be scrubbed.

The best time to scrub your face is after a dusty work, preferably at night when you're about to sleep to reduce the appearance of spots and promote blood circulation so you'll have a rosy white low when you wake up. but if you have vessicular problems such as vasoconstrictipoon or vasodilation, refrain from using facial scrubs since it may worsen your situation by allowing you to develop visible blood capillaries which you may find attractive at first since your skins appears rosy but as time passes, you'll suffer from vessel problems and blood problems.
It should say so on the directions. But if not, I would recommend morning and night every day.

Facial scrub for seriously dry skin? ?

For anybody who has dry/reactive/sensitive skin-

I just started using a cream with retinol in it recently. I already have skin that is prone to dryness, but this has added to the dryness and has resulted in a ton of peeling. I have tried a few scrubs over the past week, but none have been useful as far as exfoliating the flaky skin.

What is a good exfoliant that you would recommend for very flaky skin? I am looking for one that is considerably strong.Facial scrub for seriously dry skin? ?
I'd say The Body Shop's range of exfoliators, cleansers, masks, moisturizers etc for dry/flaky skin.

The most amazing product for me is Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. It would fix it over night! Give it a try :)

Good luck.Facial scrub for seriously dry skin? ?
Table salt will do the trick.Put a tsp. salt in the palm of your hand.Add a little water,it should look like dry paste. Then use a wash cloth and slowly move in small circles all over your face.Be very careful and do not get too close to your eyes.Rinse your face and repeat again. When you have finished the second time, make sure you rinse your face well.Last, apply a moisturizing lotion.Do this once a day for 4 days and then do it every three days.Your skin will look great and feel so soft.
It could actually be a dietry need you may want to take some vitamins such as fish oil. also exfolianting is good but if u r doing it on a daily basis it can acutally be very damaging and extend your problem. exfoliate a minium of one time every wk and use face creme daily with spf of at least 15 in it.

Id go to ur doctor and ask for a referal to ur nearest skin specialist that would be your best option.

    Best of luck

  • New Dove facial scrub?

I was wondering if any of you have tried this new product? It is a wand with an attached cloth that foams up under hot water. You turn it on and it basically does the work for you. I like the idea of it because it means less washcloths I have to do in my laundry. Thanks!New Dove facial scrub?
I have it and for me, it works great! I just bought it i think a month ago, and my face doesn't feel as it did before. I would recomend it to you :) Just know, some people's skins are different!

I have a facial cleanser, scrub, and lotion. Should I use all three daily?

I'm 25, don't have any pimples, not oily or too dry, when should I use these 3 products?

Clean %26amp; clear makeup cleanser, Clean %26amp; Clear Oxygenating scrub, Clean %26amp; Clear oxygenating face lotionI have a facial cleanser, scrub, and lotion. Should I use all three daily?
The scrub you will need once a week or so, the other products you can use daily.I have a facial cleanser, scrub, and lotion. Should I use all three daily?
The cleanser and lotion should be fine to use every day. However, I would use the scrub only once every 3 days or once a week. Using the scrub everyday will irritate your skin.
stop using everything that you are using

use a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer for normal skin

at this age and with your skin type.. you don't need anything else
You should always use the cleanser 2 times a day, morning and night.

A toner should be used after cleansing 2 times a day, an excellent homemade toner is to take green tea, let it steep, and then add it into a spray bottle(small), great toner!!!

Exfoliation should be used in accordance with your skin type.

Generally 2 a week is good, always remember sun screen, after exfolation your skin is more subject to a burn.
Don't use the scrub every day. If you're washing with a cleanser every day you don't need the scrub every day. Wash with the cleanser every morning before makeup and every night to take off the makeup. Every other day with the scrub just to get all the makeup buildup. Use the moisturizer everyday. (I put mine on before I put on my makeup - it seems to make my base go on smoother.)
you sud use it weekly or once in 15 days depending on your skin condition...also you can use ultrasound cleanser to give better effects
Definitely use the cleanser and lotion every day. Actually it is best to do it both morning and night. I'm not familiar with the scrub you have but depending on how 'rough' it is, I would only suggest using it two or three times a week. If it is really gentle, it could be used every day.
The cleanser I would use daily, morning and night - especially at night since you would be taking off makeup at that time. Also, I would use the lotion after the cleanser. I've heard from countless ladies that this is where we don't do so well: in the mosturizing department. Using lotion one to two times daily will help with wrinkles later in life. As for the scrub, I would use it once a week. You definitely don't want to overdo it or acne and redness could occur from irritation.
your fine just the way you are. save your money
the scrub should be used once a week but the cleanser and lotion use daily
I suppose its gd, but like what others say u can use scrub like 2 times a week. but i would like to add on, after your scrub you can like do masks, paper or washed off(dun use peel off as it will hurt your skin and don't use deep cleansing clay/mud as its more for oily skin it will make your skin dry) as after scrubing it will cleans off the dead skin and white%26amp;black heads, and there will be spaces empty, in your skin if you don't work on masks to fill them up and nourish your skin, the dirts and stuff will start filling and not long later your skin will b filled with black and white heads again.

If you hv little bit of wrinkles i recommend L'oreal wrinkle filler, if your pores r big u can try clinques pore minimizer. If everything is fine just stick to what you have and probably mask.
These products sound like they will either oil up your face or scrub it dry. I suggest using the scrub probably every other weekend, the lotion just a tiny squirt at night, and the cleanser every morning and night if it isn't too harsh. If your skin is oily, you might not want to do the lotion alot. I use proactiv, but only the lotion. Do not use toner, I am telling you. Also, the clean and clear morning burst leaves you feeling fresh and clean in the morning. Try it. I know you'll love it. Also, the Neutrogena Icy Scrub. I also use the oxygenating scrub, too!
well tech. your only suppose to scrub once or twice a week but i do a little scrub everyday then deff. wash on lotion up daily.. in every magazine and article i have read it says to only wash twice a day so you dont dry your skin out and then there no limit to lotion its good for your skin!
The cleanser and lotion can both be used twice daily, but the scrub I would only use twice a week or so.

    Honey and Lemon, facial scrub?

I am looking for homemade ingredients that can be used as a facial scrub. I am not too fond of using salt and/or sugar as facial cleansers. I was wondering would a mixture of honey, lemon, and warm water do good?Honey and Lemon, facial scrub?
This facemask uses lemon and works great! It is good for tightening pores and preventing breakouts.

7 medium size strawberries(I use frozen and then thaw them)

    2 tbsp lemon juice

    1 tbsp water

Purade strawberries in a blender, then mix with the lemon juice and water. Put on a cotton ball and apply to face. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and then wash off. Works amazingly! I love it!

Hope this helpsHoney and Lemon, facial scrub?
you could call the store Lush and they would tell you or you could buy some nice homeade ones there. Ive used them they work really well:)
Not unless you want bees swarming you.
Lemon is very acidic, but packed with Vitamin C. Try putting in just a few drops of lemon juice (unless uve already got a recipe in hand?)

I don't see it as a scrub if theres no sugar/salt to exfoliate... could be called a mask i suppose? the honey's gonna b rather sticky... so i wouldnt see it as a nice scrub/cleanser... but its up to your preferences :)

try adding a teaspoon of milk to the recipe :) it tightens your skin and smoothens out your skintone.

another tip i think would work would be putting on some lemon juice and steaming up your face (i.e. hot water in basin with your face over it, covered with a towel). it'll open your pores and the vitamin would be absorbed. tried and tested ;) it works on my blackheads on my nose.
Lemon and honey wont make a scrub they will make a mask, to get a scrub you will have to use sugar or something granulated to get a scrub.

I need help finding a facial scrub/wash and a moisturizer!!?

okay, I have skin that gets oily quickly and when I wash it(no matter what kind of soap/facial scrub/wash) I use it always gets dry and sometimes kinda flaky. So I guess what im wondering is what is the best facial scrub/wash for a person with oily skin and what is the best moisturizer?? right now I use a ponds moisturizer and it leaves my face feeling greasy and I cant wear make up because it either looks greasy as well or if I dont apply the moisturizer it looks flaky!! helpI need help finding a facial scrub/wash and a moisturizer!!?
You need to moisturize even if you have oily skin, but you need to use the right products for your skin type. This is what I use for my oily skin: Mary Kay 3 - in - 1 Cleansing Bar, Blemish Control Toner 3, Oil Control Lotion 3, Clarifying Mask 3, and Beauty Blotters. I also use MK's Microdermabrasion once a week to reduce the size of my pores since people with oily skin usually have larger pores.

Mary Kay is one of only two companies that has a cleansing bar that is a deep cleaner. The Beauty Blotters are made of linen instead of paper and absorb excess oil without disturbing your makeup. You can toss them in your purse and dab your skin with them anytime you need to. They give your skin a fresh matte finish without adding more product to your face.I need help finding a facial scrub/wash and a moisturizer!!?
I use the entire Mary Kay line. The time wise cleanser is amazing, the moisturizer is very light and you feel like you hardly have anything on and the microderm home kit is amazing.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
PONDS???!! a bad choice!!! you want to do this: Try Dove or Caress soap, or Cetaphil lotion; most any drugstore has their own version of Cetaphil, right next to it on the same shelf, at a lower price; 3 of the best, gentle skin cleansers; you must treat oily skin as sensitive skin ( a dermatologist told me this once).

.Wash your hands before you wash your face..then lather up; .with the lather still on, take ordinary baking soda and put some in the palm of your hand; slowly add water, a few drops at a time, until it forms a paste...then GENTLY massage into the lather/face, starting at the forehead, using circular motions; go all over the fact at least 3 times; do not scrub too hard; gentle does it.. just make sure you can feel the baking soda doing its work..then rinse rinse rinse with COOL not COLD and NOT HOT or warm water...rinsing is very very important!!

Then blot dry and apply your moisturizer ONLY to the eye area and throat....

DO NOT USE Ponds;;; its' way to heavy!! look for any moderatly priced moisturizer, made for oily skin...if you want to use it all over the face, esp. in cold weather, you can, but in warm weather only around the eyes %26amp; on the throat....the baking soda exfoliates %26amp; will help with the flakiness; you are getting flakes as the Ponds is so heavy it just builds and builds up on your skin; the baking soda will get rid of that..

Use the baking soda 2 times a week.

.For a mask, use generic milk of magnesia; just smooth it on clean skin and leave on til it dries; about 5-10 minutes, then, again, rinse rinse off with cool water...it's the best, lowest price mask there is, and again you can find any drugstore brand DO NOT pay higher prices for the national brand...Trust me, I've been doing this myself for many years and my skin always looks good, and if you wear makeup it will look fantastic!! please try this and email me if you have any questions......have fun......

Oil of Olay has a good one. Try that one.
So, your face is feeling greasy because Ponds is definitely not right for you. You need to regulate your skin. 2 good lines for your skin type are Murad and Arbonne. I know they are not cheap but you want to spend your money on your regimine products.

You need a moisturizing wash (dont worry here will not make you oily), a good scrub and an oil-free moisturizer.

I would recommend - Arbonne RE9 Wash and Scrub (or buy the Men's one - it is a wash/scrub combo!) and then use the Murad Pomengranate Moisturizer - it is oil-free with an SPF.

Also try a masque once a week like the Murad Enzyme Masque or the Arbonne Thermal Fusion Masque.

    Hope this helps!
There is a brand of products you can buy on-line called ';NuSkin';. They have the best scrub, mud mask %26amp; toner ever. • Cannot find a good facial acne wash or scrub that works any suggestions?

Every facial wash i use starts to work at first then tends to start breaking my face out. I have used clearisil and clean and clear and stuff like that it doesnt work. I dont ave bad acne but it would be nice if it didnt randomly break out all the time. Any suggestions on what works well?Cannot find a good facial acne wash or scrub that works any suggestions?
Maybe when you use the facial wash, try not to use as much. Over exfoliating can cause your skin to become dry or oily, which can cause a break-out. Maybe instead of using it everyday, use it every other day while in the days inbetween, use a milder face wash that is just for cleansing, not to help acne. Origins in the mall has a very mild cleanser called Checks and Balances which is very good for that inbetween use as it just cleans the dirt off from the day and not killing your skin with the acne washes like the clean and clear and the clearisil and other stuff.

hope that helps! : )Cannot find a good facial acne wash or scrub that works any suggestions?

try changing your diet to a less processed one eg eat foods like fruit and veges and fish and meat rather than chips high fat ,and sugary foods. this can make a big difference

also stress causes pimples, try and find ways of reducing it
I have the same problem facing by you. I think this happens because of the inappropriate facial cleanser we use that causes the face to dry up too fast leading to more oil excretion. I recently went and got some consultation from a specialist and he suggested me to use some Milk Cleanser. I have been using it for 2 months or so, and I have to say, it works well. My face is not as dry as it used to be due to the presence of milk base compounds. The brand I am using is Eucerin: Gentle Milk Cleanser.

    Hope I helped.
Beautiful Skin they will give you a free 30 day trial and if you don't like it you just send it back. It worked really good for me and it isn't that expensive. I think it's BeautifulSkin.com
Use a pH balanced product line with 1-2% salicylic acid. Be gentle - do not use harsh toners, or scrubs.

    Try Arbonne Clear Advantage
What is the deal with people selling Arbonne? O.kay here's what is probably happening. When you start to use a product for acne you tend to breakout more in the beginning because it is pulling out all the congestion that is underneath the skin out. If you are not really an acneic skin ( you just get breakouts) you probably don't want products for anceic skin, it will make you dry and dehydrated. Try to find a spot treatment which contains Benzoyl Peroxide in it for the breakouts. This will help dry the ';pimples'; out. Stay away from ingredients like lanolin, mineral oil, isoproply myristate ( it's found not only in make up but in WD40 too!) F,D%26amp;C dyes, Copolymers. Most of these ingredients can be found in skin care products, make up and hair product. Try to change your pillow case frequently, clean your cell phone daily, try not to touch your face etc. Make sure to wash your face 2 x's morning and night make sure to exfoliate 2-3 yimes a week. It's also important to use a moisturizer to help maintain the hydration. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I have super sensitive skin. what's the best facial scrub for my face?

my skin is so sensitive that if i touch my face, the oils in my figner tips damage my skin.

I need something that can wash away the grime and deep clean my pores. I always have ingrown hairs and always have alot of breakouts. I also need a good shaving cream.

I am going to walmart for these things..so something widely available would be great.I have super sensitive skin. what's the best facial scrub for my face?
I have sensitive skin too ( maybe not as sensitives as your), but I use St. Ives apricot scrub, which doesn't irritate my skin and for shaving cream I use Aveeno Ultra-Calming shave gel, this really works well. And you can buy this at Walmart %26amp; other stores.I have super sensitive skin. what's the best facial scrub for my face?
I would recommend using a product like Ultra Shave as a post shave moisturiser. It has wonderful skin healing properties and contains grape seed extract which is 15000 times stronger than vitamin E. It's has completely natural ingredients and is Parabenz free.

Always shave with a new, sharp razor blade and shave slowly. Do not shave the same area more than once. Use a shaving gel to reduce friction between the blade and your skin.

The Body Shop has a great Tea Tree foaming face wash.

Ultra Shave is not available in Walmart to my knowledge, but it's worth ordering via mail order.

    Katers Favourite Facial Skin Scrub:

    You will need:

A bottle of cheap-o aspirin. I use the stuff from the dollar store.

    Honey.

    Water.

    Soft bristled toothbrush.

Before I get in the shower I set three aspirin in a saucer and add two or three drops of water on top of each aspirin. After I get out of the shower, I take my finger and mash the aspirin into a grainy little pulp. Then I add about one tablespoon of honey on top of that. Then I take my finger and mush it all together, then apply to my face. Let it sit for about five minutes, then take your wet toothbrush (I suggest you have one just for this, but if you want to use the one you brush your teeth with, I won't hate you. I might think you're weird, but I won't hate you. Just sayin....) and began making swirly circles on your face and using your toothbrush as a scrubby. Don't press too hard, be gentle and stay away from your eyes.

After you have done that, rinse with warm water, pat dry and apply your fav moisturizer.
neutrogena for ance works good. Its a oil free cleanser.
Where do you live? If you're in Canada try Biotherm. It's amazing stuff. They have a product called Hydra-Detox Bio Defensis. It is a gentle scrub that purifies the skin. They have a moisturizer called AcnoPur as well. If you're in the US I think you can only purchase it online though - www.biotherm.com. Vichy has a product called NormaDerm that apparently really works - www.vichyusa.com. If you have the money - try Euoko. It is a little bit more expensive. They have a Matte Foam Cleanser, called A-10, that is designed specifically for blemishes. Check out their entire A line at www.euoko.com

And you know what? You can never go wrong with Dove either. A bar of their soap cleans really well. I know that it's got rid of my blemishes before - completely.
My favorite, which I use for bumpy skin, but not neccesarily facial blemishes, is ';The Scrub Of Your Life'; by Soap %26amp; Glory which I get at Target, here's an amazon link:

    http://www.amazon.com/Soap-Glory-Scrub-Your-Life/dp/B000VPG38C

I use it on the bumpy skin over my cheekbone and on my forearms. It's AMAZING.
Oxy scrub. I don't have acne too bad but it helps prevent it and it kinda smells like man! It's great!
Neutrogena works well, so does clean and clear.
if you feel like spending some money, go ';THE WAVE'; it's a mechanical cleanser or products like proactiv

    BUT

bar soap is magic. it works just as well if not better than the other junk. i just bar soap, and i don't have any acne

    good luck
clean and clear get it at cvs there only like what 7 8 bucks

Does skinlogics facial scrub work well on your skin?

DO NOT use a scrub. It iritates your skin and causes more pimples. Try Clinique Foaming Facial CLeanser.

Which is the best facial scrub for combination skin? I prefer something with natural ingredients.?

I have two favorites: My favorite favorite is the tomato face scrub from Bath and Body Works. It has a full tomato in every bottle, which contains lots of AHA... and crushed walnut shell powder is the exfoliant. It's very natural, and specifically for normal/combination skin. My second favorite is the pomegranate scrub also from BBW. This is my fiance's favorite because it smells really nice and fruity, and not like tomatoes :0) It's also normal/combination, but it's a little less coarse, specifically for those with sensitive skin.

They're 100% guaranteed too, which I love-- I don't want to be stuck with an $18 product I won't love.Which is the best facial scrub for combination skin? I prefer something with natural ingredients.?
Slice a lemon and rub it on your face raw. Use a dab of olive oil to moisturize afterwards. It will not make your skin too oily or break your face out.Which is the best facial scrub for combination skin? I prefer something with natural ingredients.?

  • How do i make a natural facial scrub at home?

I make my own face scrubs at home, I do not use store bought facial cleansers and such due to all the unnatural ingredients. Here is how I make mine, which it a sugar scrub and it really makes your face glow, goes below the surface and cleanses and cleans the skin, helps prevents breakouts, pimples, and blackheads. Also helps the skin from being oily.

    Ingredients:

1 Cup of Sugar (I use plain sugar, raw sugar is good also)

    1/4 Cup of Pure Honey

    2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice

    2 Tablespoons of Lime Juice

1 Tea Packet of Chamomile Tea (100% Chamomile)

    Directions:

Combine all the ingredients. For the tea bag simple rip it open and add your chamomile. Use as often as you like! It does wounders, trust me!How do i make a natural facial scrub at home?
I discovered an amazing one the other day and am recommending it EVERYWHERE. It's incredibly simple and works like a charm :)

Get a dixie cup part full of sugar. I usually fill it half way, but less is fine too. Add a little bit of whole or 2% milk. Mix with a spoon until it creates a fairly thick paste (thin enough it'll stick to your face, but thick enough that it isn't runny). I wouldn't fill the cup more than halfway full of sugar because it can take a few tries to get the consistancy right, and you may need to add more sugar.

Use as an exfoliant, and voila! Super soft and healthy skin!

    Why?

Sugar is fine enough that it won't harm the soft skin on your face (so long as you don't scrub excessively, of course). Also, it is suitable for more skin types. It won't make you break out like harsh scrubs.

Milk contains many fats (this is why you need 2% or whole milk) which moisturize the body without making it oily and clogging pores. Milk is also high in acids that are good for your skin. Since the acids aren't too strong, they won't harm you at all - but they will cleanse your skin. It also contains beta hydroxy acid, which acts as a natural exfoliant for your skin.

Combined, they exfoliate, cleanse, and moisturize your skin. This is also a great scrub because it's very easy to wash off unlike a lot of scrubs I've used which have left bits in my hairline and all over the shower. The sugar dissolves in the water so it's so simple.

I've also heard about adding honey to the mixture, but I haven't tried it. I'm not keen on using honey products because although they moisture your face, they can be messy.

Good luck! How do i make a natural facial scrub at home?
Sugar, conditioner and a little bit of water. You can use salt if you want to dry out your skin but not all the time. A girl who I went to cosmetology school with swore by it.
I put sugar in honey and let it dissolve just a little (so it is not too rough) and slather it on with my hands.

I like to use salt on the rest of my body.
Idk about natural. But sugar and olive oil mixed evenly are great for exfoliation.

I personally thought it would make my skin really greasy, but it doesn't at all.

Also using it on your lips makes them realllly soft.

    :]
mix a three tsp of sugar with one tsp of whatever cooking oil you have in your cabinet. You can skip the oil if you want a harsher scrub.
    MILK AND BROWN SUGAR!
